Complicated Co’s First Offline Walk in Stratford-upon-Avon

On Sunday 10th May, Complicated Co hosted our very first Offline Walk in Stratford-upon-Avon, bringing together 20 people from our community for a meaningful day of connection, conversation, and mindfulness away from the noise of everyday life.

And it was everything we hoped it would be.

Why We Organised an Offline Walk

At Complicated Co., we talk a lot about going offline. It's on our tees. It's in our brand name. It's part of the philosophy behind everything we do.

But talking about it and actually doing it are two different things.

The Offline Walk was our way of putting the message into practice. Of creating a space where people could step away from their screens, breathe some fresh air, and connect with other humans in the most straightforward way possible: by walking alongside them.

No agenda. No content strategy. No phones required.

Just people, a river, and a conversation that didn't need to be optimised.

What Happened on the Day

Twenty people showed up. Some knew each other. Most didn't.

By the end of the walk, that had changed.

There's something about moving through a space together that makes conversation easier. The pressure of sitting across from someone at a table disappears. You're side by side, looking at the same things, and the words come more naturally.

We talked about work, life, the mental load, the things we're proud of and the things we're still figuring out. We talked about what it means to slow down in a world that keeps speeding up. We talked about why conscious fashion matters and how the choices we make about what we buy and wear are connected to the choices we make about how we live.

The Connection Between Slow Living and Slow Fashion

It's not a coincidence that a brand built around slow fashion values would organise an event like this.

Slow fashion in the UK is about more than just buying organic cotton tees (though we do love those). It's a mindset. A commitment to being more intentional — about what you consume, how you spend your time, and what you want to stand for.

The Offline Walk was an expression of that mindset. A reminder that the most meaningful things in life don't come with a next-day delivery option.

What's Next

The first Offline Walk was just the beginning.

We're planning more community events throughout the year, walks, conversations, gatherings, all designed to bring people together in real life, away from the scroll.

If you'd like to be part of the next one, join Club Complicated and we'll make sure you're the first to know.

Because the best things happen offline.
