September is doing that thing again. Warm one day, coat weather the next. You leave the house in a jumper and you're sweating by 11am, or you leave in a t-shirt and you're regretting it by 4pm. Nobody can decide what today actually is, because the sky hasn't decided either.
Everyone comes back from the summer holidays talking about “fresh starts” and “new routines,” and now the reality kicks in. It's back to normal, notifications, calendars, everyone needing something from you. Up one minute, down the next. Same as the weather.
Why September Is the Hardest Month to Dress For
Transitional dressing is its own kind of admin. You're already deciding what to wear around a hundred other decisions, meetings, school runs, deadlines, and September weather adds one more thing you can't control. One coat too many and you're carrying it all day. One layer too few and you're cold by the walk home. It's a small decision, but it's still a decision, and most of us are already carrying enough of those.
That's really what a capsule of good organic cotton basics is for. Not to solve September. Just to take one decision off the list.
